Does anyone have any heads-up or leads on planned/proposed towers in NYC that exceed 1,000 feet in height?

You can find the current status on most highrises planned, proposed or currently under construction at www.emporis.com (http://www.emporis.com)

1 New York Place probably won't happen. But I like the design.

However, we also have these coming up:
-BoFA Tower- ~1200 ft- u/c
-New York Times Tower- ~1050 ft- site work
-80 South Street- 1000 ft- proposed
-Freedumb Tower- 1776+ ft- site work
then:
-1 possibly 2 towers at the New World Trade Center that are 1000ft+
-Westside- possibly 2 towers over 1000 ft (no renderings :( )
and we had before:
-1 WTC + 2 WTC- both ~1368 feet
and we still have:
-ESB-1250 feet to the roof, more if you include spire
-Chrysler-1046 feet

Add it up:
now- 2
before- 4
future- 10 possibly 11
and with the old WTC included (we can't ever forget) 12 possibly 13

Wow ! :) Kicks every other city's ass! :)

Hey Hey Hey it's my 200th post! :cheers1:

Vlad the Great, pointed them out, here's the links to the 2 towers that we know definitely will exceed 1000 feet:

BOA Tower (1 Bryant Park) (http://www.skyscrapercity.com/showthread.php?t=62926)

NY Times Tower (http://www.skyscrapercity.com/showthread.php?t=26525)

These ones probably will:

Pace Tower (Beekman Building) (http://www.skyscrapercity.com/showthread.php?t=98709&page=1&pp=20)

Some towers in Westside plan (http://www.skyscrapercity.com/showthread.php?t=64399)

Also, at least the second tallest in the WTC rebuilding.

I forgot about Pace/NYU Tower. Yep, we can put that one in the 1000 foot+ category now, with the news that it will be the 2nd tallest in Downtown. :)
Sweet! :righton:

That's what I've heard from Stern, on SSP.

I wished that it could go up, it would add more "ooomph" into the Downtown skyline. But if it's dead it's dead, there's nothing we can do about it now, except kill it some more. ;) Yeah it would have made the skyline so much better.... Oh well, there are many other things to look forward to. :)

I remember how long it took me to memorize how to spell Libeskind. well my last name's Ogorodnikov, and there are sooo many cool butchered versions of it, and, on top of that, I want to be an architect. Whaddayouknow, maybe someday random people on skyscraper forums will misspell my name too.

^You Russian LeCom? ;)

Yep, Calatrava's tower will no doubt make an impact, escpecially from the waterfront. How could I forget? ;)

Calatrava's tower isn't 1000+ feet though, I remember some sources said the spire would count and reach up to that height, others didn't.
