Actually this is a church converted into a Buddhist Wat. Pretty cool!

Any known similar case?

Its a beautiful church, inside and out. One assumes that its original congregation no longer needed this building, and a buddhist parish acquired it. It is continuing to serve as a religious function and appears to be respectfully and well maintained. Very nice to see. Thanks for sharing.

Just came across this thread and had to write something about...

Well, that "church" was actually built as a temple in the 19th century by King Chulalongkorn. It's close to Bang Pa-In palace, which houses different architecture styles such as Chinese, Thai and Western.

There is also one temple in Bangkok, where you'll find Chedi in gothic style. Have to look for some pictures though.

Pictures are all wonderful! And that is really the right thing to do when planning to build something, never to do it half-baked but rather it must be with excellence!
