For an analysis of the living quality of different city regions I am also looking for the average living space per person in Brooklyn.

To be more specific, I am researching about Park Slope, which is rated very high in living quality. I would like to know what the average living space per person is. I think it is definitely less space than in the whole US. If you have figure of Park Slope it would be best. But just Brooklyn or even the whole New York City area would be very helpful.

Hope there is someone who can give me a number or a hint where to look.
Thanks a lot.

Park Slope (http://www.city-data.com/neighborhood/Park-Slope-Brooklyn-NY.html) and Cobble Hill Are VERY EXPENSIVE. The housing there is generally million dollar brownstones ( median size: 2,559 sq. ft. (http://www.zillow.com/local-info/NY-New-York/Park-Slope-homes/r_197044/)) but a classic Brooklyn apartment is cheaper than the Manhattan counterpart so the tennants can afford to rent a larger (1 br. or more) than what they'd get on the island. 400-800 sq. ft. pretty much covers it for one person.

I'd expect square footage to go down with quality of life in many cases. People will accept smaller housing in the best neighborhoods.
