New York at that time looked like an industrial fortress sort of like Lindblum in Final Fantasy IX. It looks very industrial and at the same time depressing! It sad though the street trolleys aren't running anymore!

i have that book!

i would highly recommend you guys get this book,lots of pics from the very start of the chrysler buildings history.

apparently the person who wrote the book stumbled across the 150 10x8 silver photographic plates just before they were to be sold to a silver reclamation yard to be melted down! :eek2:

so he purchased them and kept the history of building the chrysler building alive!

i think this was the only documented photographic story of this building and it was saved.

lots of good info in this book as well.

theres also a cool picture of mr frank b rogers vice president of the w.p.c corp touching the tip of the chrysler buildings spire on completion of construction!

that must have been absolutely awesome up there!

also some rare cloud club pics,and walter chryslers tool box.
