It looks more filthy than anything. I'm sure they have not been cleaning this glass as the building sits untouched. It's tough to judge the cladding in that respect.

American? How would this look American? US is a concrete jungle not glass (very scarce)

America is home to the skyscraper (and not just concrete ones). Now almost all major world cities have them, hence theyve become americanised ;)

I would say it definitely doesn't look like asian, because it doesn't have the excessive elements and shapes and geometric expressiveness. It's definitely Russian, boxy in a good way, not as boring as european skyscrapers (which they call a good taste), I would say it really reminds America, but then again America and Russia are very similar, whatsoever they would say to deny that. I would say America set the visual principles of this kind architecture, and Russia contributed to that with soviet constructivism.



It definitely looks American or European (you know, good taste). It's stylish and classy. No point in talking about, whether it looks like something from asia or the werstern world - Nearly all the worlds skyscrapers and supertalls are designed by American and European architects anyways.

And by the way...Russia is Europe, I should know as a Russian :)

They've learnt from the Mercury City Tower topic that about half of this forum don't like gold. And there is already too much grayish-bluish buildings there. They have no choice. :)

black skyscrapers are ugly. it looks fine as it is, but maybe another red skyscraper would fit.

IMO black usually looks nice on skyscrapers, but green can also look nice, but here it's just a bit grey. But maybe I should wait until they installed the full cladding and it is shining in the sun.:)

Considering the IBC cluster as a whole we should remind that cancelled 1000-ft-high Moscow City Hall was planned in red and supertall in plot 16a that is u/c now will be black.

And as the recent top looks much like a mechanical area, I go more with ThatOneGuy: Eurasia is just below the setback, and only 22 floors are missing - even less than 1/3.

Because it isn't cleaned recently. Just look at the Shard, now the tower is finished they have cleaned the windows, and it looks brilliant.

Isn't it weird? Eurasia and Federation Tower both were on hold for a long time, and just a few months after restart, things go wrong on both. :ohno:

But the crane boom case here should be less serious than the fire damage next door, so I hope construction might roll again in a few days. :)

I wonder about the reason... there wasn't a major storm, was it (only found a lighning storm on April, 23rd in Moscow/Idaho ;)) ? Otherwise this must've been an operating error or material fault.

At least the cladding is progressing quite well, the tower starts to look much better without having this skeleton look.. hopefully they replace the crane on top soon with a new one..

With the crane down, it might as well be 'On Hold' again. :(

If you look at the renderings, the uppermost part is thinner than the lower. Looks like they reached this point now..

Yes, the setback part is reached, for sure. Now all they need to do is hurry up with rising past it already!
