View Full Version : Residences at 338a
heirloom October 4th, 2004, 03:56 PM this is somewhere off river valley road between killiney road and oxley rise / road i think. quite a pleasant building, but surrounded by shit old condominiums. apartments in it mostly will not have nice views too as the building is shorter than most of its neighbours. pity :/

the lobby is like clad in some metal sheeting.. looks quite nice. titanium? dunno... a colossal disappointment however was the elevator - it looked all right except for the buttons. they were PLASTIC TRANSLUCENT CHEAP BUTTONS you find in buildings from the 70s.

i took one picture of it i may post later. hrmm i would really love this building if it were taller or if it were not surrounded by ugly buildings taller than itself.
redstone October 4th, 2004, 06:40 PM Tall, would have been very stunning...
RafflesCity October 5th, 2004, 01:30 PM Killiney Rd and River Valley area is very dense with condominiums..the contrasts between old and new are quite shocking, but overall a very nice area.

There are several projects where they seem to build the project first then start selling it.
Orchard-Scotts by Far East has been sitting empty for several years already.
Chad April 21st, 2005, 08:15 AM Looks very great!!, I think apart from modernism, there are some Retro feels in it aswell such as the cone-shape pillars on the ground level..:)
heirloom April 21st, 2005, 11:42 AM retro feel in that orange streak too
Cliff April 21st, 2005, 11:44 AM Yes, amazing base I do I say so myself, very art nouveau.
heirloom April 21st, 2005, 11:48 AM when i viewed this project i didnt see that dark reddish brown mosaic clad lobby. i think it was just white. but it seemed the lobby was clad in some metal like titanium though.
