Thank you! Would you tell us a bit more about your experiences in the city? You blog entry wasnt very "talkative".

No problems. I suppose it's because I'd already been there before as a tourist. This time around it was really just a weekend to catch up with an old friend from Australia who was living there.

I can advise on the effects of too much Unicum and home brewed Palinka lol.

Overall though I do like the city. As I said in my blog I find it quite interesting that the place is so huge, and has so much grand architeture from the pre-war times, but then in contrast to that, you have evidence of brutalist communist era architecture about the place. As a result of it's past 100 years, it feels like a city that's somewhat caught between western and easter Europe in its ''feel''. There's a lot of construction going on about the place, and it will be very interesting to see what it's like in a few more years. I can imagine the tourist numbers will increase quite a bit over the coming years - perhaps somewhat like Prague is today tourist wise. It's certainly not a touristy place at the moment, which I like.
