was there 4 years ago and for it's size it's quite nice
love anchorage more

but what really counts when you're up there is landscape, scenery, yukon river, trees, animals
alaska for me is one of the most beautiful places on earth. so many stunning rivers and mountains. would go there every year just to relax!!!!

SO GREAT!!!

Surprising, to say the least. However, not all that great even on a national scale. I give it a 5/10.

There really aren't enough pictures to warrant a rating, but what I see is good... Because we're probably not going to get any more pictures here, I'll go ahead and give the place a 6.

Pretty town, but I could do without the 1960's Soviet era bland off-white buildings. This type of architecture is all too common place in Alaska. I give it a 4/10.

Some recent pictures of Fairbanks, Alaska I got. Be sure to check out the Northwest Photo Journey as linked in the mini pics below for more pictures of Alaska and the great Northwest, from Alaska to Oregon, Washington to Idaho. :)

9.

because it looks like whitehorse, yukon. because both are mountainous and similar population.

but in terms of latitiude, yellowknife (62 N) has more edge in terms of skyline than fairbanks (64 N), considering that fairbanks has double the population of yellowknife.

oh and yah. both yknife and fairbanks have aurora tourism. fairbanks is at the edge of the aurora oval, while yknife is smacked in the middle of it.
