ARRS has installed 3D projector in one of it's screen(Guess it's Screen1) and they screened Avatar first in that screen recentrly.

Now Transformer is running in that screen. This is the first theatere in Salem which has 3D projector.

1) Construction on ARRS Mega mall site is going on full swing, but it's size is small

2) Big construction near Vincent bus stop is almost 70% completed

3) Construction near Church in TVS is going in full speed. But already one under construction building (where AXIS bank is present) is there next to this. Don't understand why they are constructing this as the other one is not occupied fully for long time.

4) One more big construction is coming opposite to Sona college(behine the AVR circle petrol bunk towards Junction). Ground work has been started already and it's going on in a full swing.

5) New Restaurant called Mr.Idly opened on junction main road.

5 Roads Dwaraka hotel cite construction started. Entire stretch levelled and dwelling work going on in full swing with more than 10 pocaline put into use and 25+ tippers taking the sands to outside. A Mega work going on with super speed. Don't know whether it is for Reliance. But surely the project is a mega one, hence mostly it will be Reliance project.

The stopped construction work in Axis Bank building near Infant Jesus Chruch (6 floor building) started this week and hope the same with many shops will open before Deepavali

Next to that building near TVS petrol bunk the constrcution work is going on with full speed and now basement and ground floor work over and first floor work to start.

Government will not compromise on law and order: Senthamizhan

Visitors to Government Exhibition here must make use of various stalls put up by different government agencies and get their knowledge enriched, said Minister for Information, Law and Prisons G. Senthamizhan.

Inaugurating the Government Exhibition at Bose Maidan here on Sunday, the Minister said that many people were coming here to spend their leisure hours.

“It should not be used for entertainment alone but also for gaining knowledge since many government agencies had put up their stalls to make people understand their role in society,” he added.

The Minister, who also paid a visit to Salem Central Prison, said that rule of law was being enforced now in Tamil Nadu.

Making a dig at the former regime of DMK, he said that the government would not compromise on law and order and none could take law into their hands.

Minister for Highways and Minor Ports K Palanisamy said that Chief Minister had undertaken various measures to mitigate the power problem in the state.

The exhibition was having 16 Government stalls and five Corporations and two Central government stalls and 90 shops and business establishments.

The Ministers also inaugurated 72 school buildings under SSA scheme and distributed welfare assistance to 457 beneficiaries to the tune of Rs 2 crore. Collector K Maharabushanam presided over the function

Here's an update on -->
1) 5 Roads Dwaraka Land: They've put up green cloth around the compound and a deep basement is dug now. May be its for basement parking or to support a big building. They've changed the name board from what it was earlier (from 'This property belongs to HIMADRI ENTERPRISES' to 'Name of Owner: RELIANCE PROLIFIC TRADERS'). I inquired the land's watchman on what is coming up there and got SHOPPING MALL as an answer. Just wondering if this includes a multiplex theater there or not.

2) A.R.K Complex: They've put up a big green cloth in front of this complex too. Work is going on. I inquired a tea shop owner next to the theater and got an answer that the 3 theaters are getting ready to resume screening soon and then AASCAR Ravichandran is its owner.

3) ARRS Megamall: It looks like work is under progress at a handsome pace here too :).

Are you telling about mall which is having MRF Exclusive and ABC Studios opened right at this stage and some other constructions going in left side of the seelanaickenpaaty junction while cmng frm namakkal or else u r telling about some other mall

ANS Kadaiveethi was the mother shop, then ANS Swarnapuri was opened by their branch family. Now ANS Kadaiveethu is opening ANS Dhivyam at Kurungachavadi.

Kumbakonam Jewellry is AVR group which is at BB street. AVR Swarna mahal at Swarnapuri is their branch family name showroom.:)

Yes. We have to wait,but need multi model incorporation, SR have to develop the ICD which is functioning in Salem Market to be expand in vast. But private players are in full swing in setup their Transit points in Salem. Also our city having good infrastructure in transport sector. Need CII-Salem Chapter to develop this sector.

One side this is a happy thing to get back this complex soon but if u see the road conditions from gandhi statue to the complex its very pathetic,today after raining cant able go in tat road,before the complex getting ready our corporation people should take some initiatives to finish the under ground drainage soon and relaid the roads by widening it,otherwise we difinitely do not get the great film experience in santhosh,sapna and santham as before

east side was not development well because of poor road and rail connectivity till last decade.

Salem-Vridhachalam GC and few trains intro has given good life for eastern part of Salem dt. Also 4-lane road should make life more comfortable there.

:nuts: yesterday no one could enter ARRS silks in car street.. such a mad rush.

We planned to go for purchasing around 09:00PM and completed it by 10:30PM. Most of the customers were commenting to sales people to ask their owner to open another big show room in 5 roads or sarada college road.

Well, you should be thanking Sivanara for the picture, for I reused a picture posted by him earlier in this thread :) .

As far as I heard from a person who owns a tea shop next to the theater, they aren't expanding it. Instead, they are just renovating the existing 3 screens like they did for BIG Cinemas. The only thing that we can hope for is a better makeover than they did for the BIG Cinemas theaters more than 3 years back ... !!!

yes the construction of the mall is in full swing.

But the 5-roads junction needs face lift, 4-5 yrs before city use to look neat but now due to poor garbage management, I find it is getting worse day by dad. Have to see how the new corp going to handle.

yes its necessary to clean 5roads.because lots of malls and retails interested in this area only.after 2-3 yrs it became the huge landmark of salem city.
