View Full Version : Alpine Tower completion?
josh3993 October 7th, 2004, 08:16 AM Greeting forumers,
I'm a newbie here...
Anyway, I bought Alpine Tower, Bukit Jambul, Penang in 2003 and was told that it is suppose to complete in beginning of Jan 2004. I even sold my old house thinking that I can move it by then. Well it's October now and still no news from IJM on VP or OC. The building has been ready for almost half a year but I am not sure why it is taking them so long to get the VP and OC. Calls to IJM has always ended up with bogus and no direct answers. Always say it's coming soon since May this year.
I remember there was a thread here before (in Feb 2004)http://www.skyscrapercity.com/showthread.php?t=90557&page=2
The building was basically ready since then. Anybody out there know what is going on? Thank you.
Regards
TYW October 7th, 2004, 11:46 AM wow!! you bought a unit?? cool!! where are you now?? alpine tower was completed a few months ago but i'm not sure weather people have move in or not. try contacting them again;)

josh3993 October 7th, 2004, 06:08 PM TYW,
Thanks for your reply. I have gaven up calling IJM because they always give me false hope. Called in March they will say April, May they will say June/July. I think probably something wrong with the plan and that's why cannot get approval or else it should not take that long because construction basically have stopped for months as far as I know. I used to think IJM should be pretty good when it comes to getting OC...but now I am having second thoughts.
I am from Penang...and just wondering if anybody know what is going on with the project anyway. I am not even sure if this is the right forum to talk about this topic :) but since I saw a thread discussing about Alpine awhile ago that's why I was just trying my luck
Regards
Josh

you're welcome!! i wish i could help, but too bad, i'm not too familiar with properties :bash:
of course it is alright to discuss about this in the forum. as you can see, we discuss about everything:D
actually i was quite shocked and disappointed to hear about your laments. i always thought IJM is quite a good company.
have you tried to go to their office?? it is in Menara Penang Garden in Northam Road (Jalan Sultan Ahmad Shah). hope your problems are solved as soon as possible:okay:
josh3993 October 9th, 2004, 06:21 AM Yupe tried that but the answer is always well we think in1-2 months time but we cannot commit...only few department never approve yet...same old BS since April/May.
Yeah...I thought IJM was pretty good but now I am very dissapointed.
sugizm October 10th, 2004, 04:27 AM have u complain this to the consumers rights department? im not sure whether this would help, this is the url of Consumers Association of Penang : www.jeef.or.jp/EAST_ASIA/malaysia/CAP.htm
josh3993 October 10th, 2004, 07:04 PM Well technically you cannot do anything to the developer because they have 36 months upon signing of S&P agreement to hand over the property to the buyer; even though when the S&P was signed the building was near completion (I think)
sugizm October 10th, 2004, 11:46 PM now this is really dissapointing...i really hope i can help...
