Very well done from Michael Clarke, getting a century on debut, and Gilchrist scoring a 100 as well.

McGrath is on fire opening the bowling, 2 overs so far, both maidens, and a wicket in each.

How funny is that huge banner in the crowd:

"MUM SEND IMODIUM"

(imodium - drug that stops you getting the shits ;))

I'm probably in a minority on this board in that I'm an Indian supporter. However, the match has been enthralling so far (despite some very... iffy umpiring) , and Clarke did bat very well for his 151.

I thought Kasper bowled well. Hopefully Haydos can return to his form of last series...been a bit unlucky so far but not like the Aussies care, how lucky are we having gilly down the order?

Well done to Clarke. 150 on debut vs India in India is something to be proud of, that's for sure.

Another good day, we should be able to set a traget of around 400-450, maybe more, and with plenty of time to get the Indians out on a wearing pitch.

warney and gilly together at the moment, watch out india if both of them start to latch onto some. should be a lead of around 500 i reckon

Pity Gilly is gone.

Oh well, 430 is still impossible to get batting last anyway.

*edit* - that pitch is gooone. Good luck :D

What do people think about the aussies walking? Mullet and Gilly have both done it this innings - mullet wouldn't have been given out if he hadn't walked, IMO. Are we too sportsmanlike? I doubt the Indian batsman would do the same, especially in front of their own crowd.

it looks pretty good if we still win. And I totally support anyone making a conscience decision to walk. But if I was batting I would never walk when you are out and the umpire doesn't know, because you can't stay if the umpire thinks you are out and you know that you are not.

Well we have won now, 217 run victory in the end. Seems the perfect start for for us to win our first series in India since 1969.
