Nothing much .. boring skyline !! 5/10

This is a beautiful city and it does have many interesting buildings....i guess these pics just don't show it. Chilean forumers post some more pics of this city!!!

Valparaiso is not famous because of its skyscrapers, (i don't think this city should have, however there is a 30 storey tower on construction), it's famous because of its arquitecture, and this city was nominated last year as World Patrimony by UNESCO.
This city, received many English, German and Italian inmigrants in 19 century.
They build a lot of nice houses in the hills. Now, all the city is in a restore process.
Also, this city has a conurbunation with Viña del Mar of 1 million people. Viña del Mar, is modern.
Finally, the city has the third best fireworks spectacle of the world!!

It don't have a skyline, but it is beautiful!!!!

Wow! this is a beautiful, colourful provincial city that looks like a nice place to live or visit. It reminds me of Halifax because of all the colourful, historic buildings and because of how it's built on hills sloping down toward a large harbour. Also the white belfry in the first pic posted by latinamerican reminds me of our old town clock building. Because of the hilly location, the skyline includes alot more than just highrises which contributes to my score of 7.5

I guess it's nice!!!!! 8/10:)

Viva Valparaiso!
Not much skyline but very nice! Keep it that way! Not every city has to look as cheap and nouveau riche as Dubai or what ever.

I gave it an 8/10 because at night, the illuminated hills make a nice skyline. A skyline doesn't necessarily have to be made up of highrise buildings..

Nice skyline for a second city in South America but not in the US or Canada. I give it a 6!

9/10- although no skyline, i like it's beaches and the developed around them and it's european arquitecture (especially in the hillside).

well, it doesn't have a good skyline because it's a Humanity Heritage, so, tehre cannot be built high skyscrapers.
anyway, is one of the most beatiful and charming cities in this world

Valparaiso seems kinda slummy and the skyline is nothing to write home about, which is what we're rating. I admit it stays within the confines of good taste (unlike Dubai) but it's still nothing significant.

I'm a big fan of Santiago. That's a beautiful, clean, attractive city. I'm just not a big fan of other places in Chile. I've actually been to Santiago, and Buenos Aires, and snowboarding in between, I've just never been to Valparaiso or the rest of South America so I don't know enough about it. I wouldn't mind getting to know more about Valparaiso, since I've heard a lot about it.
