just to kill once and for all those that go on about 3ds max and bryce sucking cock, bryce really isnt that bad at all. here's a few examples of my work, a nice variety here i think.
originally done in bryce, though i photoshopped this using a single filter (minimise) to get this effect. my homage to those impressionist paintings with diffuse light in the countryside.

a small portion of an ikeaesque room ive modelled. i may post more images of it later, they take forever to render because of the multiple light sources with soft shadows. gives you an idea of just how photorealistic you can get bryce if you want. this took 6 hours to render on my network, thats using several athlon xps at the same time to do different portions.

this pic is an example of where bryces great abilities to do masking come in, hence the motion blur. if you distance mask the image properly then you can motion blur it, and get the right depth of field too.

a slightly photoshopped image like one of those old naval paintings you can see. i think ill return to this and stick smoke on the cannons and add some flame, could do an interesting seabattle scene here quite easily.

with bryce you can import poser models too. here's gillian anderson. this took 36 hours to render in total thanks to the reflections, i forgot to set the ray depth properly then which might have explained why as it was doing the reflection of the reflection of the reflection!
