so i visited the pretty capital recently and i noticed we don't really have an edinburgh photo thread so i think i'll start one myself now.

i liked this shot walking down from the castle when the buildings reached the height of the natural horizon and formed a skyline

Anyone seen the film The Illusionist, by Sylvain Chomet? (who also made The Triplets of Belleville) It's set in a beautifully animated version of Edinburgh.

This picture below is from an isolated main stand under 're-construction/renovation', allegedly related to one of the pre-Murrayfield rugby grounds. I recall it being 'in the proximity' of Tynecastle Park somewhere in the late nineties.

Anybody shedding a light please?
