Here's a city I made on good old fashioned Sim City 3000.

Multiple nuclei skyline:

Notice the boom:

Beautiful mansions within the city limits:

No zoning laws:

What mansions in city limits? Surface parking? Interstates? Tons of trees?

What is so bad about mansions in city limits? I believe LA, Miami, San Francisco, and other cities have them. And there is absolutely nothing wrong with greenery. And the no zoning laws, so what? We have more than one skyline, and for a city with no zoning laws we still have an impresive downtown.

There weren't enough malls and other sprawly buildings to go around.
