Hello fellow Chicago Forumers,

I was just wondering who plans to be at the forumer get together on Saturday, October 16th.
Jada will be in town along with a huge group from ssp (perhaps 20 or more?) including several from out of state.

The plan is to meet at "The Bean" at Millenium Park at noon. And later that night to get together and do some drinking....

I'm really bad at remembering people's forum handles and real names. . . especially those who use real names as forum handles that aren't their real names. . . and those who have different forum handles for each and every forum. . . yeah. . . you know who you all are!

Okay, maybe this forum is dying :( In light of the recent let-down... I've decided to join ssp. I also didn't realize how big the meet-up was going to be... so, I'm going to try to make it a priority to be there!

Geoff, It's kinda freaky how you and I parallel each other at times. I just joined ssp myself this past week.

BAH! Unfortunately, I can't be there; crew and something we have in our house called "hitchcock hitched" which is semi-important. Someone please take lots and lots of pics so I can live vicariously.

So, how was it?!

it was a lot of fun. all told, through out the day, we had 27 total forumers, coming just shy of the all time forum meet record of 32 set in columbus earlier this year.

we all met at the bean at noon and mingled for a good while as the stragglers rolled in. then we had some pizza at bacci or someplace like that on wacker. then did a stroll through marshall fields, and then over to the daley center to take a big group photo on the picasso, then some people split off to go other places or back to hotels, to rest. the rest of us continued walking and snapping pics until we ended up at the starbucks at the head of the mag mile, we all went in to warm up and we stayed for a good long while as we sipped and chatted and warmed up. then a small group headed down to the billy goat to begin with the old style consumption. then at 9:00pm folks all met back up together at the hancock plaza. most went up to the signature lounge for appetizers and drinks, some others, including myself, went back underground for more old style. then afterwords most people met back up at the W hotel around midnight where we partied in the suite that DT had gotten.

it was a fantastic time and i had a pleasure meeting and talking to so many new people.

I must have missed you on Saturday. . . when did you meet up with everyone? Where was I? What the hell is going on around here!?!

Dev... don't you remember when Damp was pissing and moaning about bigots? Of course, he followed that sentence by naming all the groups that he can't stand (one of which was homosexuals).

I am sad that I missed you on Saturday Damp... I would have loved to put a picture with that nasty disposition.
