I like the new thread "Guess the city" : wouldn't it be possible to create a sticky in this thread with the "Hall of Fame" of forumers that have guessed correct the most.Something similar like in the "Urban Photo Competition", it might spice up the thread an motivate people to visit the thread more often :) . I don't think it would be difficult to do, you just need to count all the winners for the moment and after that it's just following up the new results once in a while.

I think it would be an interesting competition with so many "City"-fanatics on this forum. :cheers:

Yes, but I would not close them directly after the winner is pronounced because sometimes there is an interesting discussion about the city in question.But for example the threads on pages 5 till 2 are quite old so I think those could be closed :)

I think there should at least be a sticky with some rules , most people who create GTC-threads already know them :) :

Rule 1 : People who create threads should try to get pictures with an URL that doesn't give away the name of the city (so cheating is more difficult) maybe a link to the thread on this forum that explains how to host pictures would be usefull :)


Rule 2 : People that live in or near the city that has to be guessed should not participate in that specific thread because that is too easy and would be spoiling the fun. There are plenty of chances to guess other cities...

great work....I'm still unsure about the closure of threads once guessed correct, since there are so many threads created we need a way to keep track of new and old ones without having to click on each and every one!...:dunno:



When I have time I'll work on the sticky thread with winners and a set of rules and regulations....give me more ideas if you come up with some! :)
