Welcome to Newark City.
Newark City is situated on the bank of the River Colombia and at the foot of Maple Mountain. The City currently has a population of just under 20,000, in the city itself and it's two suburbs, Brookland and Mayor Rock.
The Downtown area is small at the moment, but then the population is only 20,000, and is in the middle of the city, on the river bank.
The south of the city is home to a number of industrial estate's, containing many manufacturing companys and waste disposal facilities.
To the West and North of the city are the maple and oak tree lined residential streets, with some of the best property in the city.
One of the bad areas to the city is just north of the industrial area, once home to a handful of movie stars and successful business men who lived in the large houses, the two estates to the west and east of Colvend Avenue are now struck by poverty and a violent gang war thats slowly spreading outwards. The Colvend Avenue Mafia to the East and Causey Park Blood's the West have been locked in war for the past 5 years, since the killing of Los Angeles born Rapper Joey Wardell, an affiliate of the Causey Park Blood's, and who also lived in the "Playa Mansion" on Causey Park. The police were criticised by the mayor, after they scrapped the investigation when two police officers were gunned down(but still luckily survived) by the Blood's when called to a domestic disturbance in the area. To add to the Police's reason's for ending the investigation,three members of a local white power group, thought to be Neo-Nazi's, were also brutally murdered in the area but no bodies were ever found. One policeman struck out at poverty stricken Black communities, slamming what he called "Thugs with no purpose in life". What was later revealed is that the two gunmen of the Causey Park Blood's were White, the police officer was later fired for further rascist comment's. The mayor has now vowed thousand's of simoleon's into the improvement of the area, including park's, a library dedicated to the memory of Joey Wardell and a meeting between the gang leaders and gangsters, in hope of them declaring peace and giving up their way's, with an offering of upto 8,000 simoleons per Family to spend on their personal improvement of their property and job offer's in local business's and manufacturing industries.
