I think most of the Dubai forumers will know what I'm talking about when they run into another forumer who is completely misinformed about Dubai and all the projects going on in the city. It gets repetitive, boring, and annoying, trying to repeat the same things to different people, over and over and over again.
Which is why I've decided to work on Trances' idea of coming up with a project information thread. Whenever a visiting forumer asks a question or says something incorrect about a project/Dubai, we could point them to this thread where they can read up and learn (hopefully)

We could all make suggestions of things to add to this post about a project, a mod (or me, since I'm the threadposter :D) could make the addition and then lock it once that's done. --

Some Iconic Dubai Projects

1. Burj Al Arab
The world's only seven star hotel, built on an artificial island situated just off the coast. It is the world's tallest hotel as well, and everything that glitters there is made of real gold. Special features include an underwater hotel, two floor suites and a butler for each hotel guest.

2. The Palm Jumeirah
An artificial island shaped like a palm tree located on the Arabian Gulf. The Palm Jumeirah is the first of three similar palm-shaped islands. It will have apartments, townhouses and villas to buy freehold, as well as hotels and entertainment venues.

3. Burj Dubai
Being built around the upcoming Dubai International Financial Centre, the Burj Dubai aims to be the world's tallest tower. At first the tower was planned to be around 750m tall, but recently this figure has pushed closer to 950m and the developers have said that the design would allow them to increase this height even further midway through construction. The tower will be a mixture of office and residential, and will be part of the 'Burj Dubai complex', which includes smaller towers and the world's biggest mall, Dubai Mall
