mrfusion July 24th, 2011, 11:38 PM It is indeed a great idea, but people do this because land space is scarce and you want some green, PP still have plenty of space, it is just too costly, even if you have tenants.

So this is different project? And who is the developer?

What about the city government of Phnom Penh? I thought this kind of project should be handle by the government, right?
The government may work with some other private partners too ..
I think OCIC has a higher chance :)

China is the new superrich, it can't possibly be due to lack of fund.
Choober August 21st, 2011, 12:38 PM It's probably not a great idea in a city that is prone to flooding. That particular stretch of park is on the site of what was a drainage canal.

I believed this project was before the economic crisis.

anyway, what has Freedom Park got to do with the project, it is underground.
Cancel or not, I don't think is a good idea.

I don't disagree with you, I am against this project myself, but if anyone is crazy enough to start this project, then freedom plaza will have to give way. Or, this underground city can end up somewhere else in PP.
