Well, I don't live in the city, I'm from Putnam Valley, a town of no more than 20,000 about a 30 min drive north of the Bronx. As for sports teams, I would say the only NY team I'm a big fan of would be the Rangers, but since the NHL is locked out this year, I'm pulling for the Jets. :D

When my enlistment in the Navy is over, I will be returning back home, and most likely find myself settling in the greater NY area. But who knows, anything can happen, and I really want to see other cities around the country.

Born in Yonkers but dad (and mom) found real good jobs in Albany, plus where we lived (around Nepperham Ave.) was a real shitthole, so we moved up here when I was real little. Still living here today, but when I grow up, who knows? :)

Forgot about sports; Yankees are my fav for baseball. Let's go Yanks! Beat them sox! :) Other than that, Giants are my team for football. Other sports, don't really care much...

well I'm not keen on giving too much info, but I'll say this, the zip code begins with 10***, and just for fun, there's a 2 somewhere in it.
and to go ga-ga, I just moved in my new apartment in the AOL Time Warner Center, it sucks, there isn't enough gold in, I want more diamond stuffed objects, and the view is good, but I can't enjoy it unless they send a personal masseusse.

I live in Carroll Gardens, Brooklyn, between Carroll Gardens and Cobble Hill, actually. I live here because it's my favorite neighborhood in the entire city. Great brownstone architecture, beautiful squares like Cobble Hill Park, too many restaurants and bars on Smith and Court Streets to count, great old Italian pizza parlors and coffee shops, a real sense of pride from the people who live here. I love the way people use their gardens that face the street to go all out with holiday decorations. It's worth a trip at Halloween and Christmas to walk around the neighborhood at night and see how crazy people go with decorating.

From the web ...

"Carroll Gardens residents are also known for their fantastic, if not somewhat garish, holiday decorations. Although there are religious shrines and statues decorating many of the neighborhood gardens year round, Christmas and Easter bring out the festivities in full force, as neighbors vie to outdo each other with flashing lights, incandescent monuments, and even appropriate music to produce the most all-encompassing display"

I live in Queens, in a place called East Elmhurst/Jackson Heights. I don't know why I live here, my parents choice. I grew up in Astoria, Queens which isn't too far from where I'm at anyway. Both places have pretty good skyline views! :D

As for sports...

MLB: Mets.
NBA: Not really a Knicks fan, I like the Lakers.
NFL: Don't really have a team, hate the Giants though.
NHL: Not into the sport, so don't really care.

Cool we got Cuny rep up in here?! Throw 'em up. :gunz:

I go to Baruch.
