Someone else reported that as being in Melbourne in the election thread, is there any way to tell, can anyone blow it up and read the street sign?

VVVthis was the Crikey report that went with it ...

11. Big swing to the Libs in Redfern

Liberal councillor Shayne Mallard writes:

Dear Crikey

The City of Sydney's very popular graffiti removal sub-contractors moved in on that offensive anti Liberal graffiti within hours of it being sprayed. You can understand the sore left losers in Redfern being so upset and driven to aerosol sniffing.

The local Liberals ran dead on less than $10K. Compare that to the most expensive ALP campaign the safe seat of Sydney has ever experienced at $150 -200K, whilst the Greens say they were given $50K by head office to splash on their delusional Sydney campaign. With primary vote swings to the Liberals of 7.5% in Redfern East and 6% in Redfern no wonder the angry anarchists of the left are taking to the streets in protest.

Hmmmm. I saw it on a Melbourne based blog, but that's my only reference to it when I posted it in another thread.

If that is in Sydney, that's the most intelligent, 'plugged in' piece of graffiti I've seen here since the early 90's. All the graffiti here is 'tags' and dubious comments about so-and-so's mum.

Ditto that. The whole thing would be pointless without it.

yes, sorry to have doubled (or trebled) up on yr post Tony P: i had missed it.
as i said in the other post, i just thought it was a great urban angst pic, and very unusual to see such raw, edgy' graffitti in Australia
