세군데에서 입찰을 했는데 그중에 KS 종합건설에서 응모한 작품입니다,,(127층)

이 회사 외에도 나이아메리카(120층),랜드마크 컨소시엄(134층)이 응모했다고 합니다,,

서울시가 마포구 상암동 디지털미디어시티 내에 세계 최고층 빌딩으로 건 설할 예
정인 'DMC랜드마크빌딩'의 우선협상대상자 선정작업을 진행중이어서 결 과에 관심이 집중
되고 있다.

3일 서울시에 따르면 최근 실시한 DMC단지 내 랜드마크빌딩 개발사업에 대한 우선협상대상자 선정을 위한 사업계획안 공모에 나이아메리카(NAI America) 랜드마크 컨소시엄
등 2개 컨소시엄과 KS종합건설이 응모했다.

나이아메리카(대표 제프리 킨) 컨소시엄은 미국의 부동산자산관리업체인 NAI (나이)가 주간사로 참여해 자금지원(파이낸싱)을 맡고,시공사로는 현대건설 포스코건설 SK건설 태영 등 4개 업체가 참여했다.

랜드마크 컨소시엄(대표 박세흠)은 주간사인 대우건설이 시공을 맡고,파이낸 싱은 국민은행 우리은행 교보생명 한진중공업 S&K월드코리아 등이 맡는 형태로 구성됐다.

KS건설은 단독회사 형태로 사업계획안을 냈다 건물 규모는 나이아메리카 1백20 층,랜드마크컨소시엄 1백34층,KS종합건설 1백27층 등 3개 업체가 모두 1백20층 이상의 세계 최
고층 빌딩 건설계획을 제시해 주목을 끌고 있다.

한편 랜드마크빌딩이 들어서는 디지털미디어시티(DMC)는 상암동 새천년신도시 내에 조
성된 첨단 신산업지구이다.

서울시는 지난 2002년 12월 한국외국인기업협회와 양해각서를 맺고 1백30 층짜리 초고층 빌딩 건립을 추진해오다 외자유치 지연 등의 문제로 지난 5월 무 산되자 이번에 새로운 사업자 선정에 나섰다.

우선사업자 선정결과는 이달말께 발표될 예정이다.

I can't understand any of the preceding comments, nor the description of the building itself. :( It looks incredibly tall and skinny!

What is needed to better appreciate it, I believe, is to show it in its location and surroundings. :) So would this scraper be a new element in an existing cluster of highrises?

The DMC project on the right track

The Digital Media City project is taking concrete shape while the Seoul Metropolitan Government is in its final process of choosing a construction company to build the DMC Landmark building that will be the highest edifice in the world.

Amid internationally heated interests in the DMC project, the Seoul Industry Promotion Agency, an affiliate unit of the Seoul Metropolitan Government, invited expatriates on Oct. 8 to the site of the DMC in order to add to their understanding of the city's ambitious plan. Participants in the DMC tour received a brief presentation on the project and participated in discussions on the project that was followed by a field trip to the World Cup Park.

The future-oriented Digital Media City, due to be built in Sangam-dong by 2010, will accommodate local and international digital media companies and research centers as well as lease apartment complexes exclusively for non-Koreans. Additionally a business center for supporting small-and-medium enterprises will be built within the DMC.

The finalized DMC is expected to contribute to the development of the digital industry in South Korea and create approximately 160,000 new jobs. Seoul City estimates that this project will result in gaining productivity worth of $ 7 billion and value-added worth of $ 4.5 billion.

The city government is planning to utilize the DMC to establish networking and promote business exchanges between related industries from all over the world.

It looks like they have at least three different consortia lined up with realistic financing, engineering and construction experience.

Gentlemen, ladies - this building's going to get built - even if the Korean economy tanks. It just needs to get started in the next year or so, before the current Seoul mayor becomes a lame duck.

but I'm glad something is finally getting built there, at it's 127 stories tall!
