I think having an over the top ego is just an unwanted extra with some of these bands. I knew Delta wasnt getting alot of awards due to not having done alot in music since recovering from cancer but next year she'll dominate again. MMMM and she looked beautiful and devine as always.

Those Jet Guys carried on like "jerks" last nite !

Especially that drunk slob with the white outfit on ! What a moron ! And yes, like Jet , i am a Victorian too , but i'm embarrised to be Victorian when u have role models like that going round !

As if they even compare to the Beatles ! They will be a figment of our imagination after 2 albums or so !

cheers

I reckon Jet are just acting like any other band that plays the sought of music they do, thats what happens when you take a band thats probably too stoned most of the time to even really have any idea whats going on around them, and then somehow they end up being one of the most popular bands in the world, you cant expect people like that to act normal.

My outstanding Wanka award for the night goes to Rove who I think did a crap job. If they are going to put industry award nights on TV then all of the Jokes have to make sense to those sitting at home, not just those who are in the industry. And why every single joke has to put down another celebrity I dont know. The funniest part of the night was when they did the take off of the Shannon Noll Video.

The music was fantastic, I think the awards went to deserving people, but I dont think I will bother watching again.

As much as I don't like it, people said the same about Robbie Williams, and well, the results speak for themselves.

Some sort of weird marketing strategy. Tell the crowd how to act and they will. It obviously works, unfortunately. Got to have the talent to back it up though, and they both do.

You can't expect them to act normal but at an awards night you can expect that they wear pants with enough length to look sane and shoes with their outfits. One thing I can't stand is thongs with long pants - and thongs to any formal occassion is ludicrous and IMO offensive. I would have told him to fuck off out of the awards in an outfit like that.

can I say...

Grow some hair Delta - you look like a cock with short hair, no wonder Mark dumped you. (offensive alert sorry ;))

Casey, get your bad teeth capped and learn to talk like you were born somewhere other than the back of bourke.

Guy your song was shit, you look revolting and don't bother singing that shit again, if you must sing, try a song we have heard before and stop acting like pdiddy dickhead. Oh please... "I thank GOD"? whateva!

It is amazing to see all the rejects they dig out like hasbeen Kate Cerbrano - not surprising that any talent we may have had doesn't feature or is otherwise permanently relocated overseas, they rarely bother to show.

I could go on...

A little harsh, don't you think? Given that she is recovering from cancer treatment. IMO, that is offensive, forget the thongs.

From memory, Powderfinger thought they were hot shit when they got all their awards a few years back. Eskimo Joe seemed a bit more humble, maybe? :) lol.

Oh take a chill pill Neo, it was a partial joke. Yeah so my humour can be offensive.

There is such thing as a wig you know and long hair suits her so much better, she is a gracious and good-natured person, maybe that's why I don't fall at her feet like so many other Australians do.

Yeah she is recovering from cancerand I understand its a very serious and heartbreaking illness - but both her and Belinda Emett would have looked better with some additional hair added... just my 2c worth.

And she's already written a song about it - just caught it here in London on Sky TV. All she ever sings about is herself..... in 20 years time they'll make a movie biography by sticking all her songs together.

Avatar, nothing personal , but i have to clarify something.......

The difference between Guy Sebastian and most other people is that when he actually thanks God , he really means it ! And if you disagree, its a fact that he is a Born Again Christian , and he always thanks God and gives him the credit for his success. He isn't doing it to look good or suck up , believe me !

Cheers

I lost all respect for Guy when he butchered Waltzing Matilda at the AFL Grand Final. NOW THAT WAS SHOCKING!!!!

Yeah , i don't have a problem with people either liking or not liking Guy as a singer, but he is a genuine person who means what he says, believe me.

Cheers

True, it is well known that Guy is a devout Christian... so I'm with lozza in saying that he is genuine when thanking god.

However, his singing, yes, what's gotten into him lately? He's trying too hard to be hip and cool IMO, starting to look fake, if you know what I mean.

swifty78, totally agree with you regarding Walzing Matilda. It, like the Aussie anthem, should never be 'personalised', it is such a traditional Aussie song and to sing your 'own' version in such a big event is disrespectful IMO.

We all know he is religious but I think its a little obnoxious to thank God before his fans - after all it aint God who buy his CDs. It was television that made his success not some ill founded belief in religious destiny.

Could be divine intervention Avatar, or maybe this is what God had planned for his life maybe ! hehe ! ( Thats just my spiritual oint of view )

Maybe thats his purpose in life, who knows .

Anyway , at least he is a good role model for people etc. Others are much worse....

Cheers

Rove is a dickhead (not the subject of my post though)

Guy Sebastian's latest clip somehow reminds me of Whacko Jacko circa "Off the Wall" lets hope he doesn't follow the same dark path.

Anybody read Andrew Bolt's diatribe on John Butler in yesterday's Feral Sun - It was laugh-a-minute, and I've gotta wonder, what is Butler's problem with Bunnings - did they turn him down for a job, or did he get lost one day in building supplies looking for plastic hoses.
