(If this proposal turns out to be 20 storeys or higher, I'll move it the hi-rise section.)

Innsertnamehere October 29th, 2011, 05:12 AM way to blandify it...
Travis007 October 29th, 2011, 11:03 PM I would actually find this tolerable, if they revised it and made a better effort at ground level. Like a 5 storey podium with well defined retail spaces, and have the tower set back.
Marcanadian October 29th, 2011, 11:10 PM I much prefer the old design. I'd like it better though if the tower was setback from the podium.

I like it, the grid windows reminds me a lot of 96 Spadina Ave (http://maps.google.ca/maps?q=96+spadina+ave&hl=en&ll=43.646409,-79.395522&spn=0.004402,0.010568&sll=43.646384,-79.395664&layer=c&cbp=13,211.92,,0,-17.89&cbll=43.646708,-79.395625&gl=ca&hnear=96+Spadina+Ave,+Toronto,+Toronto+Division,+Ontario+M5V+2J6&t=m&z=17&panoid=7yg-FZfBr8bl9ovkNsIZSQ) and other Fashion District buildings.

monkeyronin February 25th, 2012, 10:51 PM Are you sure FAD = 170 Spadina? From the rendering it looks like its on the southeast corner where the TD is.

Marcanadian April 7th, 2012, 01:55 AM 'Fad' Condo? It must be referring to that design fad.

You mean the comb-over roof? They're definitely late to the party for that little fad...
(other than that though, this is a great development)
Marcanadian April 8th, 2012, 12:17 AM Yeah, the comb-over roof has been done to death. It would be nice to mix it up a bit.

kuquito April 9th, 2012, 03:21 AM Not my cup of tea. But this buildings look better at night time, very "noisy" by day though

What is wrong with a roof hat? You'd rather have just an ordinary, flat roof? I'd prefer some really creative spires but I'll settle for an unoriginal roof hat. I figure it's better than nothing.
