Wanted to try some of Balzac's coffee beans...so I snapped a few pics. What a crappy Sunday....but in a good way. Nice light for early evening...and unusually deserted (maybe everybody was in the marathon?? ).

Wow, great shots KGB. I love those old brick buildings in the distillery district. I also love the St Lawrence area...imagine how much better that area would be if they can somehow remove the gardiner? It's always looming in the background with it's ugly self.

I'm all for burying the Gardiner...but you can't see it from St Lawrence. In fact, you really don't notice it until you are right at it usually....and at least you can just walk under it...a big wide surface highway would be a lot worse.

I love the kind of light we had today...I would love to shoot some U of T pics in that light.

Great pics! That cloudy, silvery light gives such depth to the colour of the buildings. Thanks.

Definitely nice shots KGB. St Lawrence neighborhood is pretty
cute. Gooderham, EH GOODERHAM distillery is a special story.
Whole willage by it self. H.C. Andersen's fairytale neighborhood.

Very nice pics of a very enjoyable area. I think the Gardiner comment was directed at the view from the distillery, where Gardiner certainly appears. Yet, I wouldn't want the train tracks to ever go from that area. The train tracks just go so well with the distillery in creating atmosphere.

All of the shots are very nice, the weather certainly adds a special touch.

The area east of Yonge is really underrated by alot of people. It is one of my favourite parts of town.
