i think those buildings are really ugly but the structure of the city is pretty good

What do you expect it is a small third-tiered provincial city for Brazil. Kinda of a Fresno or a Spokane.

actually it is a provincial city in Brasil, but it has over 300.000 people. (but no metro area) The beauty of Pelotas is in its old 19th century buildings... but Farrapo didnt posted any picture of those!

This city presents from one's with XIX eternal buildings, what unfortunately nicely it was not it been possible to say about present buildings which look poprostu the not best

The skyline is nothing out of thi world but looks interesting.

Se merece un 6 pero como me gusta el nombre de PELOTAS, le daré un 6.5, jeje

Well Pelotas has some very charming buildings , the city was rich by the beginning of the past century and this is reflected in parts in our architecture . Many Brazilian cities , bigger and richer than us right now, don't have such nice pieces of construction. The good news is that most of our best historic buildings are now being renovated and revamped...Pelotas is little by little becoming more beautiful.

But unfortunately, our modern buildings are not very atractive :S . Our high rises are nothing special , the same happens with our skyline , is just not attractive. Many Brazilian cities, much of them SMALLER in population than Pelotas , have a way better skyline. So, our strength is more focused in our rich past rather than modern days.

For those interested in my city, please watch this piece of publicity - Pelotas was chosen for this TV ad because of the resemblance with Paris - no, Pelotas is not similar to Paris AT ALL , but in some points of the town, there are some similarities.
