Muito bonita se nao fosse as diferenças socias e tirando as favelas que realmente passam uma péssima imagem nao so do Rio de Janeiro mas de todo o Brasil porem os prédios do centro sao altos e bonitos entao no total um 8,5/10.

Como ciudad no le podria dar menos de un 11 pero como skyline le faltan algunos edificios modernos que sobresalgan y algunos mas altos pero la densidad es muy buena y esta muy bien ordenado y arreglado... demasiados edificios blancos asi que le doy un 8.5

Tem 2 arranha-céus (rascacielos), mas em geral é tudo baixinho. Prédios modernos sao raros, por isso 8.5,...

Espectacular, mi favorita del Brasil, puede que no tenga los edificios más altos, pero Rio es Rio, es divina!!! 9.5

Did you notice the huge golf clubs facing the ocean in some pics? It´s the São Conrado neighbourhood, the best in Rio. My cousin lives there!
The problem is the Rocinha slum , which is very close to São Conrado.

Las panoramicas de las playas de Rio son su mejor perfil .. digamos que me importa un bledo si tiene centro financiero o moderno .. yo quedo contento con las Playas!!!

Pero no me pusieron una panoramica del Maracana!!!!!!!!

rio has what is easily the most dramatic and breathtaking natural setting for any city on earth, more than HK or capetown or SF....

but for the manmade skyline - it's pretty nondescript and unimpressive, considering how large this city is. many comparable cities in wealth and development have far superior skylines.

Cello, this is a Latin forum. Please , don´t compare Rio with Asian cities.

If we all follow your ideas, then it would be like this:

Hong Kong is so damn ugly !!! It doesn´t have the museums, the monuments , the fountains, the palaces of Paris, neither its huge cultural life.
Everyone lives in tiny apartments, even the rich ones live in not very big apartments. There is no space, everyone looks just the same and it doesn~t have the glamour of Paris.


Other way of viewing it:

Sydney is just perfect. Beautiful people all over, sunny weather, beautiful beaches etc.
The mid class live in very nice houses with beautiful gardens and is so cosmopolitan!


Everything has to be put in its context. HK skyline can be compared to Shagai´s, Tokyo´s or Seoul, for example.

And Rome with Paris, London, Madrid etc.


You cannot analyze Bagdad according to the norwegian skylines!!!

Yo le pongo un 8. Rio se destaca más por sus bellezas naturales que por su arquitectura.

Estoy de acuerdo en que el skyline de la ciudad no tiene nada de especial, ni es muy impresionate, de estar solo en una llanura seria como de 7 u 8/10, pero dado que esta en ese magnifico entorno, -y es que no se pueden ver ambas cosas por separado :nono:; es como imaginarnos Ciudad de México sin los volcanes como telon de fondo, o Londres sin el Tamesis, o Santiago de Chile sin los Andes de fondo (si son los Andes no??? :? )- con esos picos espectaculares, el Cristo del Corcovado, etc. Me parece de 10/10 :okay: en Rio su skyline por si solo es lo de menos, pero aunado a sus playas y a su entorno, es espectacular como un "todo". :yes:
