River Niger is West Africa's longest river, Africa's third longest river and the world's 11th longest river.

The river Niger, considered to be West Africa's principle river has it's source in the Fouta Djalon in Guinea. It crosses nine countries until it reaches a vast Delta in Nigeria, where it flows into the Atlantic Ocean.

The river flows through the countries of Guinea (Conakry), Mali, Niger, Nigeria, Benin, Burkina Faso, Cameroon, Ivory Coast, and Chad.

Orimili/Oshimiri (sometimes the 'r' is interchangeable with the 'l') in Igbo, still called that and there are two local government areas named after it (obviously on the Niger).

she flowed and turned into the river Niger, and her name was ''oya''
The other two wives also turned into other rivers with Nigeria, like the ''Oshun'' river. :)
