The old design was scrapped and is now 8-storeys (6 floors above ground, 2 floors underground) from the previous 5-storeys.

Construction of the hospital resumed last October 3, 2011.

We'll take updates on this project soon. :okay:

How recent is 'recent' to you? I passed by the site early today and there's an ongoing excavation by a backhoe near the center of the lot. The excavation began last Monday which, according to @arjay, was the scheduled day for the construction of the hospital to commence.

Thanks, @Mindavao! That design has been scrapped. The new design accordingly looks way better than that and it is now twice the height of the one in the billboard. The building will have eight storeys, six above ground and two underground. :)

I've just realized that ZPMC didn't leave their lot idle for too long. The construction began 3 weeks and one day before the first anniversary of their groundbreaking. Well, at least the waiting didn't go over a year. :D

Kelangan talaga ng new hospitals ang ZC. i feel the sorry state of government run ZCMC But, skills-wise, the medical staffs are widely knowledgeable and can manage the different needs of the multitude of patients, despite limited facilities and limited bed capacity. Kudos to their competence & efficient work ethics.

To the local privy corps, Thank you for mitigating efforts to expand medical facilities in the city. Thanks because you are there ready to rescue and lend help to the people of ZamPen and ARMM as well, by building more medical institutions in the city.


The location of ZPMC is strategic. Considering there's no available Tertiary hospital in the eastern part of the City. Not even, one! So cheers to the brainchild of this significant project! ARRIBA ZAMPEN, ARRIBA MINDANAO!!! :applause::applause::applause: :)
