Build in 1932 in Antwerp(Be), it was the first skyscraper in Europe. Originally the tower was 87,5m high but after renovations in the 70's it became 97m (26 floors) high. It is build in art-deco style.

I voted 8, I think it's a really nice building with a nice architecture!

Yeah, the top isn't beautiful, but a so tall and so old European building must get an 8/10 :)

The top is hideous ... what the hell were they thinking??

The rest of the building is nice - looks like one of New York's old buildings, though lacking the height obviously. :)

The roof ruins it, meaning the score can't stay up.. What where they thinking?!?! It should have a nice tapering spire or something, or anything other than that..bleurgh

Yet its huge for such an old tower, for European standards, so it deserves high merit so... 8/10

If it wasn't for the roof I'd probably give it 10/10 coz it is a classic, but the roof is truly hideous......8/10

Minus the top, and with a little cleaning, it could be beautiful. I'm still going to give it 8/10 (could have been higher though).

ps. I don't think it's the only building to claim the title of "first European skyscraper", but whatever.

These kind of towers make my mouth water. Full of history and great architecture. What can you ask more. It was built in 1929-1932 and was the first skyscraper of Europe and remained the tallest skyscraper till the fifties.

I hope you are beeing sarcastic. This is art deco. What's not to like. I agree that it needs a renovation. But they should never demolish it to replace it with yet another glass tower.
