TO TELL You the TRUTH, BHK :) , ITS SLOW, I mean its Slow, I don't even believe at this Slow SPEED of building ICE 1, its a 30 % chance of seeing ICE 2 go up at all. This Constrution Group Building ICE is just too slow at building projects, its just moving along too slow.
I BELIEVE ONYX 2 CONDO TOWER will be finished before ICE 1 is ready for the residents to move in, LOL. I think the workers need some cafe cubano ! :cheers:

If that's the case, they really need some cafe cubano, I think that project is awesome and hopefully they will go on with it, although I'd rather see it go up by Brickel. Thanks for the info.

I know, It's incredible what's happening in Miami, Construction everywhere, Hopefully they come up with a new tallest, some design like the 4 seasons, I love glassy boxes.

YES BHK :) , I believe that too, That FOUR SEASONS HOTEL and CONDO TOWER will be the Highest Building SOUTHEAST of ATLANTA for at Least 5 Years, But Maybe by then , the OLDER Buildings Around the HEART OF MIAMI will be knocked down and WHO KNOWS our 1,000 FOOTER be Built by 2014, but don't count on it till at least 2020. :cheers:

chuck those old buildings are historic and cover about a two block radius between 1st and 2nd theres allready a developer who is going to fill in the area with midrises like the lofts at downtown so the buildings will remain jsut added hieght on the top of them... and around them

i say the new tallest will be right next door to the wachovia and it will be part residential part office if not all office space as soon as opera towers is completed this one should be breaking ground at 900-950 ft

its all talk right now but can i get a bet going on this one that im right.... lets see whos still around in this forum come 2007-8 when this project should be announced

TRUE RX :) , Many buildings Downtown are OLD and Historic, BUT, I drive by many of those BOX UGLY looking type Buildings along N.Miami Ave and N.W. 1st Street and Further North to the MIAMI ARENA Area where the Culumus Brothers House feeding the needy, and TO TELL YOU THE TRUTH RX :) , Those Buildings are NOT Historic, And if they WERE, than that someone ReaLLY NEEDS Glasses, They are rundown old Buildings used to sell 100% HUMAN WIGS and FLEA Market JUNK, I rather Drive to the SWAP SHOP in Ft. Lauderdale to get a Better DEAL, lol. :)

nibyhater i wasnt talking about the met 3 site i was talking about the site north of the wachovia tower currently theres a ross store and an 8-10 storie building and parking tower there. its owned by the same owners of brickell bay plaza and opera towers. they have built on much of there existing land and are sitting on this property to make a nice class a office tower once the demand is there come 2007-2008

oh, my bad rx, ya, thats a good piece of developmable land too... but i think we should start building on the parking lots before we start taking down other buildings

NIMBY :) , Good News, ICE 1 Has Actually Started Construction with a New Construction Crane on the Property building the SEAWALL and Starting the Uncoving of the Rebars already knocked in for the Foundation. :cheers:
