I like realism, I think it's so much harder to make a region actually look like the region that it's based on. This one has taken me FOREVER and it's still a work in progress, notice Queens and Brooklyn just stopping. All the landmarks are in there, where they should be... WTC, Empire State Building, Chrystler Building, Grand Central, Lincoln Center, Rockefeller Center, Columbia and NYU and Central Park as you can obviously see, and other(I think.) The transportation system is close(it's just about impossable to get it perfect.) The major bridges are all there... Brooklyn, Bronx-Whitestone, Verrazano Narrows, Henry Hudson, George Washington and of course Triborough. The subway system in Manhattain very closely replicates the real thing also and the mojor avenues are all there. You can also see very clearly downtown and uptown(times square)

OK, here's a few more. These are mosly the massive "Brooklyn-Queens Transportation Department." I add the highways and rail after the city is built and developed, I think it adds more realism and that's what this region is all about. This really shows up when a bunch of rails and highways all end up in the same area, it really gets interesting just like the real thing. The surface trains are only freight and the El's are passenger(duh.)

Cool Region. Must have taken a long time to make, hope you have it backed up. Seen many good cities lost on some forums.

i'm going w/an 8, b/c even though it looks cool and took a lot of work, Midtown's just not dense enough or spaced out right. and downtown doesn't look spaced out right either.

It is kinda messy, more so than what I usually do but it's all about realism, can't have Brooklyn looking like central park.

I think its a nice city, good region. However, one thing I'm not a big fan of, is how you mix industry into all your cities, including highrise downtown areas. Have you considered replacing some of this industry for commercial and/or maybe making a seperate industry city?

Congrats for your great city, you are right, making cities realistic is very difficult, I m working on Wellington and Reykjavik and these are kinda hard for the lack of info

the region looks just awesome :okay: , but the cities lack some planning and green areas.
