Guys
I have just seen a new DM planning drawings which shows a new development between the Jumeriah palm and the world but further out to see called Dubai Pearl. Its about half the size of the world and looks awesome.
Another of Sheihk Mo,s visions for Dubai and another excellent project. The pace of these new developments being announced is amazing, it seems like almost every day there is someting wonderfull being announced.

na, I saw it at the DM when I was there today on the wall and thought wow another reclemation project but thats all I know

so it seems to be something official but has not been released yet
i'm so excited

the one at media city opposite palm j
and another artificial island project between palm j and palm ja

na I was going on a very quick view I saw of the map , the location is correct and its between the 2 palms

So 3 Pearls now:-
one in Qatar "The Pearl-Qatar" US $2.5 billion
one in Bahrain "Bahrain Pearl" US $500m
one in Dubai "Dubai Pearl"

i don't know anything of a pearl in bahrain

2 many pearls n palms spoil the sea

definitely, there are just too many artificial islands out there now, who knows how much they're affecting marine life and their habitat

these artificial islands create marine life and attract animals!!!

there area other projects beside islands i say instead of dumping the sand and rocks out in the sea let dubai make world tallest mountain in land !

If they would take the idea of the cancelled pearl "Lu Lu" island of Abu Dhabi and make it a clean place with no cars and a place for fun and perhaps a big artificial habitat - would be nicer and better than just making new tall buildings and huge malls. I mean come on we have to make something NEW!!

i heard talk a year or so ago of an isalnd of skyscrapers in dubai, i asumed this was the deira corniche island, but maybe this could be it...

By all these artificial islands like the Palm Jebel Ali/Deira/Jumeirah and the world and now this Dubai Pearl, how much more kilometres does this add to the coast-line?
