I guess this thread should be here rather than in the Low Rise Architecture Forum

Hong Kong tenements/shop houses

Anyone know where you can find those neo-classical tenements/shop houses/tong lau/whatever you call them? By this I mean the 2-4 story ones with pillars in front.

Here is a list of some places I know which have quite a few concentrated around a small area:

Mong Kok:
Shanghai Street/Mong Kok Road intersection: 10 of them
Boundary Street/Tai Po Road: One Big one (declared monument)

Wan Chai:
Johnston Road/Luard Road: 4 of them (to be preserved for the mean time)
Queen's Road East/Lee Tung Street: 3-4 of them

Sham Shui Po:
Pei Ho Street/Tai Po Road: one large 2 storeyed round one
Also lots of others scattered around the district

Central:
Queen's Road Central/Wing Kut Street: 3-4 of them (nr. the Center)

Any more (either in the districts afore mentioned or in other districts)? Because they'll probably all be gone in the next 10 years, and I would like to see them before they go.

Aslo post any pics if you have them .

Thank You.
