2 big churches in my area had a what i call a construction ms-hap.... the beams that were put to support the roof ca-lapsed one day...this is before the roofing sheets were put up....i believe partly it was the fault of the architect...(little history on what i see in my country)...most of our graduates/professionals were tough using theory and not the practical aspect of things..so like i said i believe the design per say is what cause those beams to fall apart....i am involved in a project at a high school were my oga (oga is short for the man in charge) doesn't want the same thing happening to his building that he is almost completing...its going to be a big auditorium for his high school....its going to be about 208 x 240....so as you can see from the attachment its not a small building...he doesn't what his roof falling apart especially on students....so please what im looking for is to see if anyone can give some input on how the beams rods, and so on should be to hold up the roof.....he doesn't want any poles or anything in the middle that will be supporting the roof....the support will be from the sides... so lets think of it like a stadium...if you can help please email me at etuk_enam@yahoo.com... i can send you pics because i dont see were to attach them on this post
