The Quezon City government became richer by P91.8 million yesterday after it sold the Ocean theater in Cubao to hotel firm Eurotel.

Eurotel managing director William Go turned over a check amounting to P 91.8 million to city treasurer Victor Endriga during a simple ceremony witnessed by Mayor Feliciano Belmonte Jr. and Councilors Ariel Inton, Aiko Melendez, Bernadette Herrera Dy, Dorothy Delarmente, Wencerom Lagumbay and Jaime Borres.

Eurotel is the owner of the Sogo hotel chain in Metro Manila.

The Ocean theater, originally pegged at P 58 million, was auctioned...

If I'm not mistaken there are three or four towers that will be built in this area, the second tower will be where ACT Theatre is now. I also heard that the four towers will all be connected by a proposed pedestrian walkway overpass that will be linked to Araneta Center Cubao MRT Blue Line station and GatewayCubao LRT Pink Line Station.

One of the best locations in Edsa. Pity that development isn't as iconic as it should have been. I wonder though how this will turn out as it is labeled as the first green building in the city.

I think so, based on their master plan. They got a big chunk of lot in that area that they are planning to develop. Sana gawin maganda naman yung corner na yun.
