unta lang. di unta sia parehas kadugay tung northwing expansion. medyo dugay pud to nahuman. nag start sila kay mga 3rd or 4th quarter sa 2008 tapos nag opening sila tung oct. 5 2009 sabay sa opening sa robinson.. b-day pa jud nako haha

Iba kasi ang case ng northwing gawa ng mayroon na kasing existing na structure so they have to be very careful about that.

Whereas ang Veranza ay from ground zero talaga. Meaning tuloy tuloy dapat ang construction as planned. :cheers: Maliban na lang kungmay mga najor incidents (God forbids) na wala sa sino man sa atin ang may control.

Soon to dominate the skyline of General Santos City is their VERANZA MALL, envisioned to be the Tuna Capital’s first GREEN SHOPPING MALL!

Check out the Veranza Mall perspectives below. The new mall which sounds like “Abreeza” will occupy the old Marfin Tan property across the KCC Mall of Gensan now being used as car park. It extends up to KCC’s lot behind the car park’s perimeter fence.

From the looks of it, Veranza Mall will be full of greens – plants, trees and perhaps fountains, waterfalls and other water elements to live up to the owners’ plans of making it distinctively South Central Mindanao’s first-ever GREEN MALL. It will connect the existing KCC Mall of GenSan to the new structures via a skybridge. According to the KCC website, Veranza will open in November 2012.

And yes, Veranza Mall will also operate a first-class hotel (check out the first picture’s two tall buildings) to augment its existing Convention Center, aside from an al fresco dining strip and world class restaurants . Very much similar to Robinsons Place GenSan’s plan to also open a hotel beside it.

That leaves the soon-to-open SM City General Santos and expanding Gaisano Mall of GenSan without a hotel to call their own. But does GenSan really need and sustain all these in the long run?

One thing for sure though, this grand battle of the supermalls in GenSan will only redound to the benefit of the generals and to the city’s new reputation as South Central Mindanao’s SHOPPING MECCA.

Naman naman,:cheers:...in all fairness realistic din naman sila. At least they are trying now. :) We just dont know what plans their own home-grown have for right now.

Home-growns should be the ones who know--at first hand--the needs and wants of the locality they serve. And I think that KCC and LKK had not only known and addressed these but have mastered it as well. :cheers:

I think KCC main is 90,000 sqm.. basing from the perspective parang symmetrical lang yung lawak at laki ng dalawa. so most probably, 90,000(main)+70-90,000(veranza)= 170-190k sqm ang grand total ng laki ng KCC.

For example is the maximum utilization of natural light during day time and the use of energy efficient lightings at night time. It would be very interesting to watch out the design of the mall's ventilation.

Of course, inside all the store locators or tenants of Veranza would still be air conditioned. As the name Veranza was concieved, for me it is indeed a combination of veranda (which means open-air terrace) and Abreeza (a newly opened high-end mall of Ayala). Veranza is indeed a high-end al-fresco shopping mall.:cheers:

Ace is the one to watch for! They almost own the whole block! Except of course the Marbel Tel, BPI, the corner building! They were able to buy the gasoline station at the corner near KCC. Time will come (when people of Marbel and SouthCot) will reach 200K up, ACE will really expand. Ang problem lang kay kabaduy gihapon sang design sang mga building sa Marbel a. actually, you can really never tell what will happen inside your mall...you build a mall for all sorts of people to come in to shop, to work or to unwind. its a privately owned public space after all.

therefore the mall management should be ready for worst cases such as these...

But really, how traumatic is it for other people to see him try to kill himself? especially the kids... that poor lady with weak stomach probably got so nauseated that she just had to leave her siomai behind...
