If the logistics involved are in any way similar to the lake turkana wind project then we are in it for a long haul before anything tangible is generated.

The lake Turkana project (if it can produce the 300MW) can make a big difference; could have made a big difference by now if it had gone on schedule. I once lived in Naivasha and it's a very windy place. What I was told was that the wind came from Kinangop; that must be one hell of a windy place.

You guys sound like Lake Turkana wind project ain't happening! The project is starting next month and by 2014 the turbines should reach full capacity. Only two years behind the original planned date, not bad for such a large project IMO.

Kinangop is close to power lines and road, so logistics should me much easier than in turkana.
