Sharjah WTC design almost ready
Work on the USD100m Sharjah World Trade Centre is expected to begin within six months. The 54-storey tower will be on a man-made island and will be connected to Sharjah Expo complex. It is being designed by Swiss firm STPC. The project is to soon go for tender, according to Gulf News.

I have requested to be the editor for sharjah and will start to clean things up there ASAP. This should be listed as proposed and auntill we see something happen, ie a press release etc should stay that way

Who was the Editor for Sharjah ?
We always knew that Sharjah and rest of Rest of UAE would take back seat to Dubai but updates are needed . Good to see it might happen now if you can manage both !
As for news well has there been any ? June 2003 it was 6 months of starting. Here it is almsot end of 2004 and nothing

Sharjah didn't have an editor. As a senior editor I can update stuff in Sharjah though.

how about a collabo with giles (sa boy) then (our dubai editor for emporis)?
he intends to take action of the sharjah section on emporis

well, i've never read anything about it and i don't know how the person who added this tower to emporis got the info about it

for me this project isn't really alive, because it hasn't been launched officially

maybe just a design proposal done for the fun of it and misinterpreted and coincidentally found by an emporis editor

a pity. this one was nice for sharjah.
