Chulio February 18th, 2012, 10:06 AM I just dont understand why some people have a hatred feelings toward the van cannnuck...lol
Yellow Fever February 19th, 2012, 04:33 AM The mighty Canucks totally destroyed the hapless leafs tonight by the score of 6-2. :D
Chulio February 20th, 2012, 05:36 AM lol....wait, WHAT!? THIS IS BS!! IM STARTING A RIOT IN TORONTO!!!
:D
Yellow Fever February 20th, 2012, 07:25 AM there is nothing wrong about the leafs that is actually a rather good team, its just that the nucks is a better team, thats all! :D
btw, the mighty canucks destroyed another team, the oilers 5-2 tonight.
Huhu February 28th, 2012, 02:55 AM WHY TRADE HODGSON??? WHY???
Nothing against Zack Kassian, but I really liked Cody. :ohno:

I will miss CoHo so much!
Ah well, Gillis has done nothing but good for our Nucks since he's come here. I didn't like the trade when I first heard it, but I put my trust in Mike Gillis, and fully support his decision. :)

So far Gillis' track record with trading key developing assets is not good, but it's a small sample (ie. the Grabner trade). At least last time someone came out looking stupider than him.

Who the hell is Zack Kassian? I really hope Gillis knew what he was doing! If he screws up this time, the fans will demand for his head hanging up at the Roger Center! :ohno:

Here's how I look at it. Dave Nonis's last year with the Canucks was 07-08.
The Canucks finished 11th in the west that year. In Gillis's first year, Canucks finished 3rd in the west. Next year, third again, but with three more points. I think we all (fondly) remember how the Canucks finished last year.
Of course this year, we are starting to look as good! I remember some people being a bit confused in the picking up of Lapierre and Higgins on the deadline, bit they turned out to be good acquisitions.
As for the fact that we got rid of two young players with promising futures, well... right now the Sedin's, Kesler and Luongo are the teams core, and David Booth is great to add that offensive depth. As we start to see Nicklas Jenson mature, he could become a great player too. Hodgson and Grabner were and are promising young players, but right now, we don't need them. I was hoping they would add some grit to the lineup this year as well. Kassian may be the perfect fit.
I keep telling myself that Gillis is probably smarter than all of us at this type of thing, and has a plan.
krnboy1009 April 23rd, 2012, 06:08 AM Kings win in OT< Canucks are done. sorry fellas.
GrahamH April 23rd, 2012, 07:02 AM :ohno:Kings deserved it. Good series.
Yellow Fever April 23rd, 2012, 08:53 AM better team won, its that simple. The canucks defence sucks and the offence couldn't get their job done. The only player that the team should keep for the next season is cory schneider and that is.
