1. It's time for my annual trip to Taipei again. It's only a short 1-hour hop from Hong Kong.

3. Taipei has quite a large variety of markets. Besides the ones selling cooked food, here's one selling plants, cleverly stashed under a highway bridge.

Nice shots, Taipei looked really nice before WW2.

Which night market have you been to?

Nice shots, Taipei looked really nice before WW2.

Which night market have you been to?

I've been to a lot of them in several prior visits, including Shilin, Huaxi, Shida, Gongguan, Raohe, and Ningxia.

62. He Sung World is a re-creation of an old Taipei shopping street, tucked in a corner of a shopping mall. The benefit of this remote location is the lack of visitors to get in the way of my photo-taking.

81. The Evergreen Maritime Museum is a hidden but expensive gem in the heart of the city. With heavy rains outside, I paid a visit and was quite impressed with the size of the museum, especially their model ship collection. However, photo-taking is not allowed in the actual exhibition areas.
