Jounieh is a city about 16 kms North of Beirut on the road to Tripoli. During the war, buildings took over its green spaces, and the tourist complexes took over its shores. Also, with the closue of Beirut Airport, it benefited from the use of the tourist port for commerce. In 1990, when fighting stopped, Jounieh was no longer a small city where the humming of water is heard, and traditional lebanese houses with red-tiled roofs were surrounded by dreamy orchards but it became a coastal city crowded with people living in a forest of cement.

L'interieur de la cathedrale n'a rien d'extraordinaire, je dirais presque tape-a-l'oeil, mais l'architecture en lignes epurees et simple est tres sympa.
