I am in the process of gathering all my required needs to evaluate the idea of building a house as opposed to buying a flat.

However I am having a difficult time trying to figure out how to find the builders... and find ones that build "quality" homes in addition to being able to work with differing materials and techniques.

Areas of question:
1) Woodframed construction vs bloc construction in Estonia
2) Are there plaster craftsman in estonia ( I mean true masters who can infuse style and textures as designed )
3) Who works with concrete... not only for structure, but for kitchen counter tops and other interior work.
4) Not last or least important... but which builders know Green tech in and out.

Of course in a self-managed project I am sure it would be better to find contractors for each of the given areas and manage the full process to ensure that the quality threshold is met.

Any information people can provide would be greatly appreciated.

Woodframed construction vs bloc construction in Estonia
In these days it comes down to personal preferences. There simply isn't much difference between them - both have their weaknesses & strengths. Even the architectural design isn't very limiting factor for either material.

Tbh,personally I would choose bare concrete house instead of wood & block houses. It offers truly limitless design possibilities.

@Tin_Can - Thanks for your response back. I think the biggest decision factors will be in the availability of a craftsman who is an expert in the given craft. I would never do plaster without knowing that there are available resources. I have a great love of combining several different materials. Concrete, Wood, Glass and Metal can all be combined to create a truly inspiring and calming affect.

I will look through the link you gave.
