(before I start, thanks tayser for locking my thread... as it happens I'd already checked your list of projects which didn't include my querie - hence the reason I created the thread. This is not on Northbank...)

Yesterday I noticed there is a rather very ugly 15-or-so building under construction roughly between King and Spencer. If this is the Eifel proposal everyone is talking about - then your are all blind.

This thing is as bad as the gas and fuel buildings.

It has absolutely nothing about it, it has two bare walls of concrete, being painted over in an ugly mustard colour, and the windows are the very most basic sliding window found in any suburban home. It's a an upright shoebox.

Not good, especially since its facing the Yarra River, and rail viaduct, for all to see.

how about a pic so we can all see what ur talking about, without seeing it tho, i gotta say it'd have to be pretty damn bad to come close to the old g&f building, something which i doubt would ever happen in Melbourne again, judging by some of the UC's and proposed in this city at the moment.

No, Northbank is anything on the northbank of the yarra river that includes Flinders Street.
