^^ Lifestyle of Filipino-Chinese in Chinatown is rapidly changing especially among new generation families and businessmen. They are veering away from their traditional way of staying in the same place or building of their business establishment. Though they own properties and units even from best subdivisions, yet they prefer to stay in Chinatown. I think this is the market of these condos sprouting around the place (like Linmmar in Obrero) by offering them, especially new generation families, a modern lifestyle of condo-living that is near their workplace or businesses. Ive never stepped foot in DCLA and 168 Davao :D. In fact, ive never seen some interior shots of these two malls online. :( Probably when I visit Davao, il make it a point to roam around Chinatown. The last time ive been to Davao Chinatown was in 2007. But I like the interior shots of Yahu and somehow provides another shopping alternative sa Davao City. If one wants to do bargain shopping and wants to stay away from the crowded SM or GMall, im sure Yahu is one of those good alternatives. :)

i thought 168 mall put up a branch here in dc...i have gone there in 168 mall in in binondo, and they made an expansion in their mall ther, and it looks so grand and it seems that they have the same logo and even the same style here and there.....

i had a walkabout sa chinatown when i was there...ang daming magaganda at modern structure na lie low lang.

chinatown is revitalising itself slowly but surely...this residential condo will have the desired domino effect to the surrounding business as well.

I love this scene. Neat,multi-coloured low rise structures like those by the straight of bosphorus in Istanbul. A bit mediterranean :).
