I mean the new popular stuff, urban style. Is queen street a good place? I saw a lot of clothing shops while driving by. I'm a guy btw.

For what you're looking for, Queen is the best place to go. That's where the trends begin.

Anyway...yes...I'm sure Queen W will be able to fill your couture needs. I suggest taking the streetcar to Trinity Bellwoods Park...fuel up on some fish'n chips at Chippy's (be sure to add a side of mushy peas)...and just walk back to University subway. By the time you get there, I'm sure your bags will be full of suave threads...and mommy's credit card maxed out.

If you're looking for more mainstream stuff that is also "urban", you can try the Eaton's Center.

Actually when I was in Toronto I had to buy a pair of pants to go skiing. Value Village was quite useful for me at that time. :D

Try going through the streets in Yorkville, there's a Stussy shop down one of them, near a Japanese steakhouse if I can remember correctly.

There's an unmarked shoe store called GDFT on the southwest corner of Spadina and... Richmond (I believe), next to a Quiznos last time I was there. If you're looking for sneakers, they have the latest stuff and the store is popular with Japanese tourists (I was told this by Japanese tourists).

There's a few stores just up Spadina from Queen on the Western side, but they're not far up, they're basically at the corner.

And, like everyone has said, Queen West... but go far west, past Bathurst.
