Anyway, two days might be enough because Calgary is just like other big north america cities with tall buildings, freeways and big shopping malls etc. But, close to Calgary area, there is one of the most beautiful parks in the world, its the Banffs National Park and you should spend more time and may be even stay overnight in the town of Banff or Lake Louise. In the city, Calgary Tower and Calgary Zoo are worth for visiting. If you enjoy shopping, there are plenty of them right in the heart of downtown. Here are some links that could be helpful.. http://www.calgaryattractions.com/ http://www.discovercalgary.com/ http://www.visitcalgary.com/ BigMaster95 January 1st, 2012, 02:52 AM Make sure you go to 17th. ave. at night as that's where all the nightlife and entertainment will be. There's lots of restaurants and clubs in this area and it gets pretty busy at night especially if the weather is nice. Kensignton is a great area to visit which is right across the river from downtown. There's some nice shop's, cafes, restaurants, etc. around that area that are nice. Princess Island Park is a nice place to go to during the day. There's a nice walkway by the river and it's a very nice park to visit. If your in downtown during the day, you can do some shopping in TD Square which is a great mall in the core with lot's of stores right in downtown. Calgary Tower is cool as you can see the entire city from the top, but expensive, very expensive..... Nose Hill is a cool hill in northern Calgary where you can see the entire city from. You can travel west for an hour and see all of the great Rockies. You can go to Banff National Park which is a great part in the Rockies that's 2 hours away. You can see all of the beautiful sights there. You can also go skiing which is an hour away from downtown Calgary. You can also go to C.O.P to ski and see all of the history from the Olympics in Calgary in 1988. Chadoh25 January 2nd, 2012, 07:57 PM Thanks guys!!!! |
