View Full Version : Addicted to cheap airfares

that's a self diagnosis.

It started a few months ago when JetStar had its first $39 sale, so I immediately called up silvermb and said let's go to Sydney & it's turned out to be that more than just two of us are heading up there at the end of November. Then about a month ago, VB had a sale on Adelaide - Melbourne. So I booked a ticket on The Overland for this thursday night and I bought a one way ticket from Adelaide to Melbourne for saturday night.

And just today, I STUPIDLY looked at both VB and Jetstar's websites purely out of just comparing prices to different destinations (I needed something really obscure to distract me from going insane re: exam tomorrow) so I compared Hobart - it was $118 return from Tulla on JetStar. What did I do? whipped out the CC and fucken well booked it LOL.

I tallied it all up, I'm only spending $257 ($299 incl. Overland fare) but I'm going to three different cities within a month

who else has succumbed to something similar? is there a CALA (Cheap Airfare Lovers Annonymous) that I can seek help from?

I'm an addict - fuck, stop me!

LOL :)

If you're going with a group on JetMagot, What ever you do get there early(to board) otherwise you'll all be sitting in different parts of the plane. lol.

gota love Jetmagot.

Cheers

I once flew from Brisbane to Sydney to Perth and back again for a grand total of $88 with Virgin Blue.

I don't think I'll ever fly that cheap again - other than the free Qantas flights I get through defence.

Unless it is really cheap I prefer to fly Qantas - usually it's worth the extra $20 - $30.

Yeah, I've been doing the Adelaide-Melbourne trip about 10 times a year since it's been pretty cheap... It's a pity we don't get jetstar here, but every now and then you can snag a qantas domestic bargain at www.webjet.com.au - My best is $54 Adel-Melb then $63 return...
