I think we need some more pictures to make up our minds. Looks like it has a lot of character. To most Australians Nashville is rather famous due to its music. I think Nashville has a similar metro population to Adelaide dont it?

Nashville is known as a musical, artistic city so we do get some characters!

And Nashville has a population of 600,000 and Adelaide is at 1.2 mill so Nashville is smaller.

Is Country Music popular in Australia? (and/or Gospel?)


I don't think gospel is popular here but they do have a town in New South Wales (Tamworth) that hosts an annual country music festival so I would assume that there are people in Australia that likes country music.

We also have quite a big rock scene and a lot of rock is recorded here.

Very friendly, Nashville was ranked 3rd friendliest city in the US. :cheers: It's very easy to make friends here.


Nashvillians are also very chatty, you can have several conversations with strangers just going to the grocery store.

It sort of strikes me as the city where this would happen. Don't know if I could live there, but certainly wouldn't mind visiting. Simply superb photos.

It's definitely a conservative city though it has its youthful areas.. The Gulch, East Nashville, and West End are where all the "trendy" and artistic folks live.

How is the city for live music? (other than country/western)

Entire districts of the city are designated for live music lol. It is mostly country but Nashville does have quite a bit of a rock scene and our music scene has been diversifying over the last couple of years.
